Causeway Galveston is the Social & Emotional Learning (SEL) Initiative at Galveston Independent School District (GISD). Through an innovative partnership between FSC, GISD, Teen Health Center, and University of Texas Medical Branch-Behavioral Health and Research, Causeway Galveston is a model for how to promote resilience in students for success in school and life.

Causeway Galveston’s whole school model focuses on integrating Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and mental health supports, including the implementation of CASEL’s SEL Core Competencies.
