Individual
& Family Therapy
The Individual
and Family Program, supported by the United Way and the Harris
and Eliza Kempner Fund, service fees, and by many contributors,
is available to anyone regardless of problem, age, gender, religion,
or ethnicity. No one is denied service due to an inability to
afford a service fee. The Individual and Family Program is staffed
by licensed therapists and is designed to address a spectrum of
emotional and mental health needs for adults, children and families.
This program is funded in part by the United Way.
Services
to At-Risk Youth (STAR)
The Star Program
(Services To At-Risk Youth) serves children and young people ages
0-17, who are troubled by family conflict, school truancy, trouble
with the police, runaway, and other concerns that may result in
serious troubles unless lives are turned around. Preventing more
serious troubles is the focus of this program. Groups for youth
and parents are available.
Youth Resiliency
Program (YRP)
The Youth
Resiliency Program utilizes the Strengthening Families curriculum,
an evidenced-based series, to serve at-risk youth and their families
through the provision of 14 weekly skills training sessions for
youth, parents and the family as a whole. Services are free to
families with children ages 6-17 with childcare provided for children

OASIS Program
The Oasis Program, primarily supported
by Galveston County's Division of Juvenile Justice, is an alternative
to detention for youth who have engaged in dangerous and illegal
sexual behavior. This intensive program allows youth to remain
with their families during a structured 18-month treatment program
in which the dual emphasis on helping the youth/family and the
safety of the community are equally balanced.
Juvenile Justice Systems Services
The FSC Program extends clinical
mental health services to youth in detention at the Galveston
County Juvenile Justice Center or identified by probation officers
as being in need of mental health services. The Juvenile Justice
Program is supported by Galveston County's Juvenile Justice Board.
Community
Support Services
The
Community Support Services Program is designed to address the
mental health and case management needs of individuals in non-traditional
community settings including Holland House, Gulf Breeze, Teen
Health Clinic and other community settings.
