Digital Storytelling

Digital Storytelling is based on the past positively transforming who we are in the present. We focus on digital storytelling as a means of therapeutic engagement for the broad population of Galveston County. Using a combination of media elements such as pictures, music and the recorded voice, storytellers have an opportunity for story re-authoring, life review and self-appraisal. Additionally, digital storytelling can facilitate greater understanding for our communities about how life, careers and families develop, as well as promote self-esteem and resolution in a safe environment. As a mobile community-based project it is available to individuals of all ages in schools, community centers, senior centers and various other settings.
